Artists in the Classroom Program

The Arts Council of San Leandro, which is active in both the visual and performing arts here in the City of San Leandro, is pleased to offer a special opportunity to San Leandro students entitled “Artist in the Classroom”.

This is the 9th year that we have offered this very successful program to all San Leandro elementary schools. Additionally, five years ago we expanded the program to include Dayton and Corvallis schools of the San Lorenzo School District and we are pleased to offer this program to these schools again this year.
The program, which is free of charge, consists of screened and approved artists entering the classroom and demonstrating or talking about how to do a particular art form, with an art-making activity involving the students.

Meetings are on the second Wednesday
of each month at 7:00 p.m.
in the San Leandro Main Library
at 300 Estudillo Ave, San Leandro.

The public is invited to attend.
